Vitiligo Support International vigorously guards the privacy of the information that it receives from individuals. The organization privacy procedures include the following: Vitiligo Support does not sell, rent or divulge personally identifiable information or email addresses to anyone unless required by law. Donors are listed by User ID on our site unless requested otherwise.

Vitiligo Support does not share or sell email address infromation with any other organization or entity, and does not itself engage in any unsolicited commercial email activity.  Vitiligo Support sends one confirmation email to each user in our database, and a newsletter update via email no more than twice each.  This is the only email we send to our users.  Users may "opt out" of receiving our twice yearly newsletter update by going to our CONTACT US page and sending an email to us and typing UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

However, all personal and medical information that you voluntarily reveal on our website community becomes public information, and is not protected by the Vitiligo Support privacy policy.

Browser Level Information

VitiligoSupport.org web servers automatically collect information about a site user's IP address, browser type and referrer by reading this information from the user's browser (information provided by every user's browser). This information is collected in a database and used--in an aggregated, anonymous manner--in our internal analysis of traffic patterns within our web site. This information is automatically logged by most web sites.
